In the organization of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Montenegro and the Embassy of Poland in Montenegro, on June 5 and 6, 2025, a conference dedicated to promoting and strengthening cooperation between Montenegro and Poland was held. On the first day, the event was held at the Faculty of Philosophy in Nikšić, and on the second day at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Podgorica, where relations, experiences and perspectives of cooperation between Montenegro and Poland were discussed.
On the first day, conference entitled “Common Horizons: Montenegrin-Polish framework of cooperation in the humanities” brought together prominent professors, researchers and representatives of academic institutions from Montenegro and Poland, who through presentations and open discussion considered the possibilities of strengthening cooperation in the fields of social sciences and humanities. Special attention is paid to international programs such as Erasmus+ and CEEPUS, which offer powerful mechanisms for promoting academic mobility, joint research, exchange of experience and building long-term partnerships between universities. Rina Muhaj spoke in front of the National Erasmus+ Office and presented the cooperation between Montenegro and Poland through the Erasmus+ international mobility program.
On the second day, the conference entitled “Polish-Montenegrin Relations: Experiences and Perspectives of Cooperation” at the Faculty of Political Sciences, historical and contemporary political relations between the two countries were discussed. The participants reflected on common values and political processes that connect Montenegro and Poland, with an emphasis on European integration, regional stability and diplomatic relations. Head of the National Erasmus+ Office Vanja Drljević confirmed the importance of academic exchange and opening space for new joint initiatives in the field of education.
