Presentation of the results of Study “Higher Education and Possibilities of Graduates at the Labour Market in WB Countries”

The study was realized in all Western Balkans country and separate report has been prepared for each country. The country report analyses higher education (HE) provision and labour market opportunities in Montenegro by looking into four inter-related issues: the provision of HE, current labour market conditions for graduates, the challenges graduates face during the transition from HE to the labour market, and the type of skill mismatches and gaps that employers face when recruiting young graduates. The report concludes with a set of ten recommendations on measures needed to ease graduates’ transition to the labour market. The data used in the study was collected from March to August 2015.

The purpose of this meeting would be to present the results of the HE/LM study specifically for Montenegro to a wider audience (rectors, ministry staff, professions, students, alumni, business, labour min people, chambers of commerce etc).

The objective of presenting the study results is that it can be a vehicle to convey the key messages to relevant stakeholders (in higher education and labour sectors) and policy-makers alike and to follow this with discussion and exchange of ideas. It will raise awareness on the specific difficulties and obstacles students/alumni face in their educational paths and integration in the labour market specifically in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
