EAIE ‒ European Association for International Education ‒ the largest annual conference in Europe dedicated to international cooperation in higher education was held in Gothenburg, Sweden on 9-12. September 2025.
More than 7,000 participants from all over the world come to EAIE to exchange experiences, form partnerships and promote innovations in university education.
The theme of this year’s conference was “GO-create” – a focus on cooperation, inclusion, innovation and joint creation of the future in the internationalization of education.
At the EU stand (Booth P115), Vanja Drljević, Head of the National Erasmus+ office, spoke about the advantages that Montenegrin Higher Education institutions have through the Erasmus+ program, as well as about the system of Higher Education in Montenegro. The possibilities of strengthening regional cooperation through student and staff mobility, capacity building projects, Jean Monnet initiatives and other activities were emphasized.
In the second part of the program, Vanja Drljević, in front of the National Erasmus+ office in Montenegro, presented the countries in the process of enlargement, highlighting their unused potential, opportunities for internationalization and the benefits that this cooperation brings to the EU and partner countries.
The conference was an opportunity to present Montenegro and its higher education institutions as a reliable partner in the field of mobility, research and educational cooperation. It also made it possible to increase the attractiveness of our universities and institutions for European partners, strengthen international recognition and open up new opportunities for cooperation.
